Bright lemon hues with hints of youthful green, impress with this lively fresh style. A lifted nose of tropical fruits with overtones of freshly cut hay.
Delicious flavours of freshly cut tropical fruits combined with a lemon zest acidity which gives a suberbly crisp and clean finish. The semillon provides the fullness throughout the palate allowing the sauvignon blanc to provide a lifted floral freshness.

Riverby Estate 2008 Sauvignon Blanc
Lemongreen. Bouquet is sweet, ripe and mild, black passionfruit more than red capsicum, faintest sweet basil, all a little milder than the Astrolabe Voyage.
Essential flavours are very similar, so this is a good Marlborough sauvignon for those who find many of them too sharp.
It is drier than the commercial average, though. Cellar 2 – 8 years, to taste. GK 04/09

The 2008 Sauvignon Blanc was harvested from block 6a on our estate. The fruit was crushed and pressed and fermentation was at 12 degrees. Bottling immediately followed in May of 2008 to ensure the full freshness of the wine was captured. The wine is a light lemon colour with green hues. Aromas of lime, lychee, and citrus abound. The palate is full and generous with a crisp acidity.
