The 2005 MAX V is a fascinating and attractive wine that bears resemblance to Bordeaux reds from warm years. The aromas and flavours are redcurrant and spice, and the tannins are firm and fine. Oak comes in on the finish but doesn’t overwhelm. – Highly Recommended

A very powerful wine in both aroma and palate structure. The aroma is characterized by black cherries and ripe plums, layered with aromas of spicy toasted oak, which gives great complexity. This complex aroma is carried over on the palate and further emphasized by the silky oak and fruit tannins.
