Rob Hope-Murray started a career in wine in the early 1970’s when Star wine was  introduced as one of the first sparkling wines launched on the Australian market.

After moving to Melbourne from the family property in the Adelaide Hills, Rob was encouraged by Len Shields to take the wine and brandy wine course, this led to a part time job promoting a new range of wines launched by Tollana wines in the Barossa Valley. Rob was able to get some references together and travelled overseas to London and through Distillers of London landed a job working in the French Vineyards, initially in Bordeaux at Chateau de Camensac, and Chateau La Rose Trintaudon to gain some great wine experience.This led to an offer to return to Australia and Melbourne, to take up a full time position with Tollana Wines, to promote the brand nationally across Australia.

Rob spent 5 years with Tollana before branching out on his own , and has represented many wineries with export to the Asian markets and has worked as sommelier in Shanghai at the Sofitel Hotel. During the 90’s Rob ran a small series of  small exhibitions in Asia  in Bangkok, Singapore, and Manila with the support of the Hyatt Hotel Group.

The last few years Rob established a wine distribution business in Melbourne supplying wine to some of Melbournes best restaurants and Hotels.

A seductive nose and a supple palate of crisp stone fruits lifted by lemon and lime.

A refreshing meduim bodied unwooded chardonnay 

Shiraz 

The shiraz offers a spicy black fruit nose followed by a succelent, savoury palate with loads of fruit. it is well made and balanced and chock full of quintesssential Aussie Character.

Cabernet.

Smooth, rich and generiously loaded with mulberries ,black cherries and spice on the palate, the finish is long lasting, dense and fruit packed.      

Red Dot  Shiraz. 

A Slightly sweeter wine than the Woop Woop however has loads of fruit and nice long length that is suitable for the Asian palate.
